For those of us who have DSLR cameras, you know how annoying it can be when dust gets on the camera sensor. I’ve posted about a device that is great to clean the sensor, but one easy way of keeping the dust out preventatively is by powering down your camera before you change a lens. Dust is less likely to stick to the sensor because it is not “charged” with static electricity. You know how dust sticks to television screens? Same principle. Also keep in mind that the rear glass of the lens should be cleaned regularly because oftentimes that will be the source of dust that ends up on your sensor! These tips won’t keep dust off your sensor indefinitely, but it’ll certainly save you lots of money from having your cameras cleaned every few months!
